Schedule

Group Gathering (10 DAY INTENSIVE)

Friday, July 9 through Sunday, July 18, 2010 (7-11am, break and 1-6pm) and

4 weekends in August (August 6 – 8, 13 – 15, 20 – 22, and 27 – 29). Friday schedule will be 1:45-6:15  (a few hours will be made available for make-up if you cannot attend all the Friday afternoons) and 8 – 10 p.m.  The Saturday and Sunday schedule will be the same as the 10-day intensive schedule)

Mornings – chanting, meditation, asana 7:00 a.m.-11 a.m.

Afternoons – practice teaching, adjusting, wisdom

If you would like to do the first 100 hours only the cost is $1495.  You will have up to two years to complete the 2nd 100 hours (This training will include anatomy, business, ethics, pregnancy, nutrition, sanskrit/philosophy/chakras, and wisdom.  Drop-ins may be available.)

Tuition DOES NOT include required reading materials.

Deposit:

A $500 NON-REFUNDABLE AND NON-TRANSFERABLE DEPOSIT will secure your space, provided full payment is made prior to May 15, 2010.

Cancellation Policy

Tuition and Deposit are NON-REFUNDABLE; however, partial credit may be given for another training within one year.

Les Leventhal

namaste_0Yoga with Les (www.YogaWithLes.com) is a vinyasa/flow yoga practice. Les is one of San Francisco’s most popular and sought after teachers around the world. Les’ classes and videos are filled with all the basic technique and alignment cues you will need to get your yoga practice and teaching started. Les’ studies and ceremonies are steeped in Forrest tradition, having completed Ana Forrest’s teacher training. Les has also assisted Ana’s teacher training and studied many additional hours with her. Also, Les has completed several trainings with Tias Little and continues to study with Tias to complete his 500 hour training.   Les pays careful attention to weave in the 8 limbs of yoga and keep the traditional styles and intentions of yoga a part of his classes while making great strides into opening a window into our global cultural shift. Les’ yoga will give you an opportunity to heal your heart and laugh, cry, dance and just let go.  Les is ERYT 200 with over 2000 hours of hands on training, teaching and assisting.

Destiny Goldsberry

destiny image nov 10Destiny teaches yoga in ways that support and empower people in believing in themselves.  She is a pioneer of Forrest Yoga and teaches with grace, dignity, and compassion.  She teaches from a place of intuition and wisdom and continues to call upon Spirit for guidance into her teaching.  Destiny creates a sacred space for her students to explore what is truth for both their life and mat practice and gives tools for one to walk with courage into their authentic self.

Destiny has been practicing yoga since 1999 and teaching since 2001.  She is ERYT Certified with over 1000 hrs of hands on training.  She has studied various methods of yoga, body work, and hands on healing for over ten years. Her teaching is unique, playful, and powerful.  Drawing on her own life experiences she is an example of someone who has found freedom from the bondage of addiction and old patterns that were hardening and sickening her.  She continues her effort of growth and stays willing to work on truth and integrity.

FAQ

  • Eligibility: Each application must be reviewed and accepted by Les and Destiny and guest faculty members.  Each application must be submitted along with your deposit and picture
  • Application: You must complete the Online Application and mail this in with your photo and your deposit.
  • Guest Faculty: Assisting Les and Destiny will be several senior instructors from various schools of yoga, philosophy and movement therapy.
  • Support Staff: Includes Pam Tao (pamela.tao@gmail.com)
  • Location: in San Francisco, TBA
  • Absenteeism: It may be possible for pre-approved absenteeism to be made up through approved workshops.
  • Punctuality: All classes will start on time. No late entry will be allowed.
  • Curriculum: How to teach a basic flow sequence, finding your voice, basic yoga anatomy, philosophy, prenatal yoga, assisting techniques, chanting, and pranayama and more
  • Completion Requirements: Full program attendance, punctuality, completion of all homework assignments, full participation in all program events, attendance of two yoga classes each week during the program, observe two yoga classes during program.
  • Accrediting: This program meets the requirements of the 200-hour Yoga Alliance Yoga Teacher Certification. Those electing to do only the first 100 hours MUST complete 200 hours in the same program within three years in order to fulfill the requirements for the 200 hour Yoga Alliance Yoga Teacher Certification.

  • Cancellation: There are no refunds. There are no exceptions. You may have a partial program fee transferred to another training program within one year.
